North Haven Pool Closure
The Walter J. Gawrych Community Pool in North Haven is getting a new roof which means it will be closed while the work is being done. The roof replacement is scheduled for early April and will take a few months.
We are happy to offer a special membership deal to these displaced North Haven swimmers! The East Side Branch at 81 South Elm Street is home to a four lane lap pool, as well as a warm water therapy pool, with water aerobics class & open swim time. Youth can dive into greatness as members of the Dolphins Swim Team and adults can join the Master’s Swim Team to help achieve their swimming & fitness goals.
To current annual pool members, we are extending an offer for a three-month membership at a 50% discount with no joiner’s fee.

If you do not have a current pool membership & are a resident of North Haven, you can join the YMCA with no join fee during the month of April!

As a member of the Wallingford Family YMCA, you will receive:

We offer options for guests who wish to visit more frequently:
- One day pass: $10 (age 18+) – $5 (under age 18)
- Guest pass cards: $90 for 10 visits – $150 for 20 visits
Guest passes are valid for one full day, and may be used at either of our Wallingford Family YMCA branches.
Guests under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult.
Guests must present a photo ID, complete a release form, and be processed in our database, so please leave some extra time. Guests under the age of 18 must have a release form that is signed by a parent or guardian.
Swimming is an important life skill for anyone at any age. We offer swim lessons for youth 6 months and up for all levels. Swim lessons at the YMCA provide important life skills that could save a life, and provide benefits for a lifetime. Instructors are highly trained in our nationally recognized swim lesson curriculum. Students learn personal water safety & achieve basic swimming competency.
Swim lessons run for 7 week sessions throughout the year.
Thanks to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, we are proud to offer free swim lessons. Based on availability, qualified participants will be able to take any of our small group swim lessons at no cost. Find out if you quailify!
