This holiday season, the Wallingford Family YMCA and Choate Rosemary Hall are collaborating to bring free recreational swim to the Wallingford community. From December 20 to January 1, the Larry Hart Pool at Choate Rosemary Hall will be open to the public to allow families to enjoy the water together this winter.

“We wanted to invite our neighbors to enjoy time splashing around in the pool. Open swim times are a fun way to improve swimming skills and stay active,” said Sean Doherty, Executive Director, Wallingford Family YMCA. “We’re so grateful that Choate has opened their aquatics facilities to not only our members during our Lap Pool Renovation Project, but to the entire Wallingford community during Winter Break.”

Choate spokesperson Alison Cady notes “By offering open swim sessions, we hope Wallingford residents will maximize important family time during this holiday season. This is a great way for family members of all ages to exercise and have some fun together.”
