Players must be middle or high school students (ID required)
Players do not need to be YMCA members
Captain must be a Wallingford resident
Teams can consist of 3-5 players
Maximum of 16 teams per division
Rounds are single elimination

Official Tournament Rules
- Each team will require ONE team captain as well as at least two other capable players
- Team Names must be appropriate for the Y
- The team captain MUST be a Wallingford resident
- All players are NOT required to be from Wallingford
- Each player must have a valid school ID WITH YEAR in order to participate in the tournament. Must provide photo of ID before game
- Each team is required to bring ONE white shirt/pinny as well as ONE MATCHING colored shirt/pinny
- Games are played by 2 and 3 pointers
- Games are played “make it, take it”
- Qualifying Games
- Played to 15 or until 30 minutes has passed
- Quarterfinals
- Played to 15 or until 30 minutes has passed
- Semifinals
- Played to 15 (no time limit)
- Finals
- Played to 21 (no time limit)
- If 2 are committed in succession, then one free throw is awarded to the player that was fouled the SECOND time
- If FT is made, one point is awarded to the team that shot the FT
- If FT is missed, the other team is rewarded the ball
- If fouls become a problem and one player is recording too many fouls, they will be talked to by lead officials and given a warning
Each team is rewarded ONE timeout per game. This timeout will be 2 minutes long, and game will start exactly two minutes after timeout has been called
- Each team is allowed up to FIVE players
- There is NO SUBBING during game unless injury or Technical
- Substitutes must be made before the game, as each team is allowed to make their lineup prior to the start of the game
- Players are allowed 15 minutes to warm up before the game
- Game will start 15 minutes after the last game has finished
- Winning and losing team will quickly be escorted off the court after the game. Failure to leave after game will result in disqualification
- CT Reign Coaches will referee Qualifying games & Quarterfinals
- Official referees will referee Semifinals & Finals
- Any player arguing with the referee will receive one warning and then a technical foul. Two technical fouls during a tournament run will result in that player being disqualified
